With a background in consumer marketing and communication, Yasmine supported communication strategy and content development. Her latest high-profile project? Managing communication for the Vancouver Sun Run, Canada’s largest 10k road race. Yasmine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and public relations from North Carolina State University.

Who (or what) inspires you in your work?
My passion and empathy for people drives me. I, like most others, have been confused or frustrated by unclear or absent communication. It’s rewarding when I can deliver work that alleviates those issues so that others have a positive experience.
What’s your secret for overcoming writer’s block?
Jot down whatever comes to mind and see where it takes you. It will probably be a load of nonsense but writing down whatever you’re thinking can help to get the creative juices flowing again. Feel free to trash most (or all) of it when you’re done!
