At Davis & Company, Melissa leads communication strategies that inform, engage and inspire our clients and their employees.

She brings more than 15 years of corporate communication experience with large companies, including Sony Corporation of America, Toys”R”Us and Wyndham Worldwide. Melissa also served as an adjunct professor of communication at William Paterson University. Most recently, she led employee communication and engagement at the United States Golf Association (USGA).

Melissa holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in corporate communication from Rowan University. She is a lifelong New Jersey resident and currently lives in Morris County with her husband, daughter and dog.

What makes Davis & Company so special?

Who (or what) inspires you in your work?
I am inspired by the people I work with and for. It’s exciting to bring a project to life and see the benefits it brings to our clients and their stakeholders.

What was your first job?
My first job was as a lifeguard. I had been a swimmer my entire life and so it was only natural for me to work at the pool once I was old enough to get a job. I spent my summers out in the sun, hanging by the pool. What could be better than that?

If you were to choose another profession, what would it be?
I would be a baker. I enjoy baking as both a hobby and for personal events and gatherings. Occasionally I take a class to learn new skills and try new treats.
