About Debra Capua
Debra has designed and implemented strategic communications programs to support a range of business activities: transformation and change management, employee engagement, human resources and sustainability.
Prior to joining Davis & Company she was an independent consultant. Before that she worked for Avon Products and Philips, as well as several other multinational corporations.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in English from St. John’s University, where she was an adjunct faculty member for 11 years.

What is the most satisfying or memorable project you’ve worked on?
Three projects come to mind. They all involved multiple deliverables and very tight deadlines. I really enjoy solving challenges and figuring out how to make the seemingly impossible happen.
Who (or what) inspires you in your work?
What was your first job?
I sold peanuts at Shea Stadium.
What's your go-to app?
The Associated Press app. I’d be lost without it!
What’s your greatest achievement?
Being an involved and supportive aunt to my nieces and nephews.
What’s your secret for overcoming writer’s block?
Stepping away and reading something for pleasure. Then I can come back to it with a fresh perspective.

What do you like to do on the weekends?
Cuddle with my two Yorkies.

Yellow, the color of sunshine.
What’s your favorite lunchtime meal?
I love to order in sushi with friends at work.
