3in3 communication planning web workshop

The new year is here. Finding time to create your 2010 communications plan can be a challenge, but we can help you.

Attend our 3in3 workshop to develop your communications road map for 2010. This focused, step-by-step approach was designed with your schedule in mind—three, 60-minute web-based sessions spread over three weeks. Be ready to handle any issue that comes your way. It's as simple as 1, 2, 3.

Each 60-minute session will be highly interactive and include features such as polling and chat to promote dialog between participants. The number of participants is limited to allow for ample coaching and personalized attention. You will also get one free hour of one-on-one coaching with a senior Davis & Company consultant to finalize your plan.

At the end of our 3in3 communications planning workshop, you will have a comprehensive plan with strategies that you and your team can begin implementing immediately.

Registration price of $750 includes three workshops with templates and one free hour of Davis & Company consulting time.


What we'll do in each session:

Session 1

  • Overview of process for the three sessions
  • A simple-yet-effective plan template, with examples
  • 2009 achievements: How to capture what you/your group has accomplished this year
  • How to use data/research (existing or new) to create a situation analysis/make your case
  • Setting objectives: The heavy lifting that creates a strong foundation for planning
  • Your assignment for next week: achievements, situation analysis, objectives

Session 2

  • Review assignment: Share and enhance achievements, situation analysis, objectives
  • Message platform: why to include it in your plan, and a framework to make sense of messages. Plus, sample message platforms.
  • Strategies/tactics: How to structure the heart of your plan to sell it and implement it
  • Brainstorm strategies/tactics: We'll collaborate to generate great ideas for implementation
  • Your assignment for next week: messages, strategies and tactics

Session 3

  • Review assignment: Share and enhance messages, strategies and tactics
  • A model for measurement: How will you prove you've accomplished what you set out to do? We'll explore.
  • Putting it together: how to package your plan
  • Getting buy-in from key colleagues, stakeholders and leaders
  • Questions, concerns, next steps

One-hour individual consulting session

  • We review your draft plan, offer suggestions for improvement and help with any other challenges you face
