Webinar shows safety organizations how to use social media

Glen Rock, N.J.—March 5, 2010 In this era of information overload, safety organizations need every communication tool in their toolbox to get messages across to key stakeholders, including employees, vendors/partners, customers, the community and the public. Social media—such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and blogs—can be a valuable way to do so.

Alison Davis, CEO of Davis & Company, will lead a BNA webinar on Wednesday, April 21 at 2 p.m. that explains how safety organizations can successfully use social media to connect with their target audiences.

This 60-minute session, which is sponsored by BNA, the largest independent publisher of specialized news and information for professionals in business and government, will discuss:

  • How social media is evolving
  • Which audiences are participating in social media
  • How government agencies and corporations are using social media
  • How to set objectives to guide your communication strategy
  • The right mix of traditional media and new media
  • Which social media tools to use to meet your objectives
  • The risks and rewards of social media
