Alison Davis offers best-practice model for re-engaging a skeptical workforce at SHRM Strategy Conference

Glen Rock, N.J.—September 16, 2009 Furloughs, layoffs and benefit cuts are eroding employee engagement. Despite these obstacles, HR professionals can take the lead in re-engaging a skeptical workforce. Alison Davis will show senior HR leaders a best-practice model for doing so at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) 2009 Strategy Conference beginning October 6 in Phoenix, AZ.

Davis, company founder and frequent speaker on employee and human resources communication, will lead an interactive session, "Engaging Employees, Despite the Obstacles: HR's Pending Challenge (and Strategic Opportunity)." Participants will learn about the economic, demographic and organizational factors that contribute to making employees feel disconnected from their organization. Davis will then share her model—based on extensive employee research and best-practice examples—which can help HR succeed at keeping employees connected and involved.
